SCHEDULE for ROBOtic'06
ROBOtic'06 is the second time that
will have run this micromouse competition.
There is no fee for entry - just turn up on the day.
ROBOtic'06 will include competitions for:
Maze Solvers: follow UK Micromouse
rules (see 'The Rules' left)
Wall followers: follow Wall
Follower rules (see 'The Rules' left)
All-comers Drag Race ( see
proposed rules below)
and also .... mini-SUMO knockout
Another new
competition at TIC for 2006, though very much 'just a bit of fun'
for this year. Lets see what you've got - 77cm ring, 10cm x 10cm
bots, push your opponent out of the ring.
Rules will follow
IF we get 2 or more entries!!
DRAG RACE
The aim is to test the speed,
acceleration, cornering and directional control of 'mice' on a
known course.
Proposed Drag Race rules
1. The basic course will use a
full-size micromouse maze base, and will be the outermost
rectangle of 60 cells, fully bounded by walls on each side, using standard micromouse walls and posts.
2. An electronic lap timer will measure
successive passes in a clockwise direction through the normal
maze start gate, up to a maximum of 5 runs in a total time of 3
minutes. Times will be measured each time the mouse crosses the
start line.
3. There is no rule 3.
