Summary The MSc Quality Management will provide you with the expertise required to provide leadership in quality management in leading organisations across all commercial and public sector organisations. It will be of prime importance to employers who require quality professionals who can integrate quality systems thinking with environmental and health and safety issues and work within a value driven business environment. The course is designed to produce quality professionals with the knowledge and skills to develop and communicate coherent policies and practices to all levels of business.
Course Aims • Develop quality professionals able to manage quality from a business perspective, recognising the needs of customers, shareholders, employees, suppliers and society. • Understand the quality management needs of business and be able to communicate effectively at all levels in an organisation. • Develop coherent policies and practices that inspire the workforce and suppliers in delivering value to the consumer. • Develop managers to become practitioners of quality and to interface successfully with managers in other disciplines.

Course Length The course duration for full-time study is typically 16 months if you start your course in September and 19 months if you start in January. For part-time study the course duration is typically two and a half to three years. The interim awards of Postgraduate Certificate (PgC) and Postgraduate Diploma (PgD) allow for an interruption of studies and continuation at a later date to cater for career developments or unforeseen personal circumstances.
The academic year is divided into semesters of approximately 15 weeks each, which run from September to January and January to June.

Requirements You will normally be expected to hold at least a Second Class Honours degree or equivalent in an appropriate discipline. You will also be considered for entry if you do not have the standard entry qualifications, but can provide evidence of necessary knowledge and skills to successfully enter and complete the course.
