Working in Partnership with the tic
The ABDN is a network of manufacturing businesses who deliver total innovative purchasing and engineering solutions at prices and quality levels demanded by the current global marketplace.

The network is a collaborative ‘one stop shop,’ that offers buyers and entrepreneurs a total solution to their purchasing and manufacturing problems.

The ABDN manages product design support, tool and fixture design, prototyping, pre-production support, through to the manufacture of components, sub-assemblies and total packages of work.

The buying company however, only deals with one lead business and the whole process of project management is visible twenty four hours per day seven days per week, via an internet based project management system. The complete purchasing process from RFQ to placement of orders can be internet based, if required, further reducing operating costs for all concerned.

The network currently consists of fourteen businesses, but is being expanded to address other capabilities, on a demand basis, across a wide range of West Midlands businesses.

Currently the suppliers are capable in tool-making (presswork, plastic and compression moulding, urethane, vacuum), profile cutting, laser cutting, iron founding, composite materials, presswork, plastic moulding of all types, metal forming, fabrication and assembly.

All the businesses are ISO9001 accredited or TS16949 and all are committed to Continuous Improvement, Total Cost Management and Operational Excellence.

The network has been funded by the Accelerate Programme and is supported by AEA Ltd a specialist manufacturing consultancy, well known in the West Midlands, for their work in supply chain development and delivering substantial improvements within the businesses they have supported.

The ABDN vision:

Through collaboration, we can provide highly innovative, cost effective solutions, for a wide variety of product options.
